Aashi Singh Raizada, the little princess of her father Arnav Singh Raizada and Jalebi Kumari of her mother Khusi Singh Raizada, was a little impatient girl. She was there in front of her papa's office for the first time but her mom was busy chatting with guards of the office. So, the little Aashi entered her papa's office building in search of her dear Papa, leaving her mom behind.
Directly moving towards the reception, Aashi climbed the sofa kept near the desk. Keeping her both hand on the desk she inquired about her papa.
"Can I meet my papa?" Aashi asked Priya, the receptionist of her papa's office.
"What is your name, little princess?" asked Priya instead. Her face showing confusion looking at the little girl.
"Aashi. Aashi Singh..." She hadn't even completed her sentence when someone interrupted her.
"You, little girl, don't you know sofas are for sitting," shouted Sheetal, arrogance literally dripping from her voice.
The little Aashi too could feel something not right about the girl and mentally noted to complain to her dad.
"Who is she ?" Aashi asked Priya, who was already standing in front of her, hiding her.
"Sheetal, a very arrogant woman," Priya said. " I also don't like her," Priya added the last part as an afterthought.
"Look Sheetalji, I will do whatever I want to do in my papa's office." Little Aashi replied not liking this Sheetalji at all.
"Your papa's office. Do you even know whose office is this little girl?" asked Sheetal, her tone mocking.
"Sheetalji." Aashi started only to get cut off.
"And what is with your Sheetalji. I'm Sheetal ...Sheetal Gupta" claimed Sheetal.
"You are also Gupta," Aashi asked. Her eyes going wide in shock.
Sheetal just nodded not knowing what made the little girl so shocked.
"But how can you be Gupta. My mom is also Gupta but she is so beautiful, so polite but you are ....." Aashi left her sentence midway giving a really horrified expression.
"How dare you," Sheetal shouted, not being able to handle insult from such a small girl.
"Aashi or you can even say Aashiji, I won't mind." Aashi supplied cutely, her eyes twinkling remembering how her mom used the same for some rude aunty.
The small group that had formed around the duo was laughing outright. They didn't even have the decency to look sheepish. Their opinion towards Sheetal was too clear.
"You spoiled brat. Didn't your mother teach you any manners? But what could be expected from a down-market middle-class mother? " Sheetal uttered venomously. She didn't like how she was made a laughing stock in front of her own colleagues by this brat.
That was like the last struck for Aashi. She came from a family where her mother was loved and respected more than anyone. But that aunty had just said bad words about her mother. She knew it was bad cause she had heard them before when someone had said it to someone in a store and her mom had taught her to never say those words about anyone.
"Papa," Aashi shouted loud enough to make Sheetal squeal at the sudden shriek.
Shyam Jha, husband of Anjali Raizada, the only son-in-law of the Raizada family who was returning back after meeting Arnav, his brother-in-law was startled to hear Aashi shouting.
He quickly made his way to the front of the crowd where he could see Aashi still standing over the sofa. She was glaring at one of the employees with her cheeks puffed and hands on her hips, just like her mom but her deadly stare was exactly like her papa.
"Aashi, what are you doing here??" Shyam asked getting near Aashi and picking her in his arm.
"SJ, what are you doing here?"Aashi questioned him instead.
"Came to meet Arnav. But why are you here? That too alone," Shyam asked once again.
"Me too. And I am not alone. I came with mom. She is talking to guard uncles outside." Aashi replied with a grin on her face.
"And why were you shouting??" Shyam asked getting a little suspicious.
But instead of answering, she asked him to put her down which he did without objection. But before Aashi could reply, Sheetal spoke.
"You Mr. " before Shyam could speak, she continued," I don't care about you or your name. Just keep your brat daughter under control,"
"Look Sheetalji, first of all, he is not my papa. He is my SJ. Secondly, why are you shouting? We have good hearing. You don't need to keep shouting like mad. "Aashi replied calmly as if talking to a child.
And with that everyone present laughed once again really loving this little cute girl who was showing arrogant Sheetal her right place.
"Such a spoilt, arrogant, and unrespectful child you are. I am sure your mother is just like that. Like mother, like daughter." Sheetal yelled not caring either who was listening.
Arnav and Khushi who entered the scene that moment stopped in their track. Khushi was really shocked to listen to such words for her that to from some unknown girl whereas Arnav was already murdering Sheetal in his head for her use of such words for his dear wife and daughter.
Khushi who was shocked a few seconds back was now afraid to see three pairs of hands forming into fists. She very well knew how protective her husband, daughter, and brother-in-law ( who consider her as his little sister), were about her especially after last year, when she met with a deadly accident and was in the hospital for one whole month.
Already knowing what the three will do, Khusi reacted at once.
"Stop right there all three of you ...." Khusi shouted seeing the trio already moving towards Sheetal. She was sure if she had not to stop them they would have strangled the girl.
Sheetal grinned seeing ASR but her smile slowly was wiped from her face when she saw the look her boss was giving her. It sure was not a friendly one even she could tell. Yet she tried her luck.
"Look ASR, this little kid... " Sheetal started only to jump in fear at ASR's declaration.
"Aashi. Aashi Singh Raizada, my daughter. Dare you utter a word against her or my wife." Arnav roared. His whole frame shaking in anger.
Sheetal shivered already realizing her blunder and knowing ASR, anyone could say what will come next. As expected, ASR started,
"Ms. Sheetal, you are..."
"Papa, I will say."Aashi jumped excitedly to utter his father's favorite dialogue.
Arnav looked confusedly at Khusi who facepalmed already knowing what her daughter wanted. Arnav just shrugged and nodded at his princess. Little Aashi grinned widely and turned towards Sheetal again. She made her little stature stretch for impact and imitated her papa.
"Ms. Sheetal, you are fired."
Sheetal looked like she was going to cry.
"Aashi how do you know I was going to say the same thing? " Arnav asked in disbelief.
"Common papa I know you. " Aashi replied like some old woman giving proud smile to her dad.
"Aw, my princess I'm proud of you. " Arnav said. His voice carrying the pride for his little princess.
"Yes princess, we are proud of you. Keep it up. " Shyam supported Arnav's words patting Aashi's head lovingly.
Khushi who was astounded seeing aashi acting the same as her father was now angry looking at these two men in anger. How dare they encourage her daughter to fire someone?
"What do you mean by you are proud? " Khushi questioned them. Her eyes were red in anger and her hands were already on her hips. Her eyes were narrowed dangerously at the duo.
The two men in question gulped and mentally prayed to Khusi's Devi Maiya to save them.
"Khusi..oh..I.." Arnav tried to speak something but the look his wife gave them made him shut up. Hearing a few gasps, Arnav mentally facepalmed. Today was just not his day. He can only pray his staff does not get a heart attack by the time his wife is finished with him.
And Shyam didn't even dare to open his mouth knowing it was of no use
"Mom, "Aashi decided to try her luck after seeing her papa and SJ all put out. She knew she was the third in line to get the scolding.
"You little one, not a word. Why did you come inside without waiting for me? "argued Khushi before Aashi would charm her way out.
The whole office staff watched the scene unfolding in front of them with open mouths since this was the first time they were seeing their boss all silent and standing with his head down and listening to his wife like an obedient kid.
It was a historic day for them really. First, they got to witness a cute little girl calling herself Aashi and the office as her papa's putting the arrogant Sheetal in her place. They then witnessed their boss's declaration and Sheetal's firing from office. But what they were seeing now just topped it all. All had just one thing in mind, Arnav Singh Raizada may be their boss but Khushi Kumari Gupta Singh Raizada (the name their's boss's wife had used while scolding their boss) ruled him.
"You three really disappointed me today." Khushi ended the reprimand at last.
Her voice was shaky not just for speaking so long but her body too felt weak. Just as she tried to take a step forward, the world around her started spinning and finally blackened just as she muttered,
"Arnavji..."
